縁 – Yggdrasil

As from yesterday, I’m now an official member of 今日のSubs staff as Translator and Translation checker, I will be working on their HnG2 and PRP projects as earlier mentioned…I helped Kaizer yesterday with the Sky Crawlers Documentary, both with TL and TLC, though I only translated a minor part of it where, Mamorou Oshii was talking, and it was almost impossible to hear what he said. But with some hard work I was able to hear what he was saying. And no, it wasn’t as easy as it sounds like…

I’m going to study for my private law exam this week, so I might not write much during that time….

As the title says, it’s disorder in my private world now, somehow all my time I planned to spend on TLC disappeared into thin air, and now it’s 0.30 am soon and I still have 4-5 hours work before I can go to sleep and I have to go up and work at 8am.

I’ve now gotten it confirmed that I’m going to work on Phantom Requiem of Phantom party as ED, QC and TLC, that’s going to be tough, but I’m looking forward to it, and I’m going to try and get Kaizer-sama to add me to the Hayate no Gotaku 2 also, since I’ve been preparing especially for that project. But since it’s Anon1’s project and he was the one that recruited me, it’s my obligation to help him out with the HnG2 project, and it’s also in my own interests since I really liked the first HnG.

Furthermore I’m soon going to start on the game I’m going with Shiki and Tony, but that’s all for today…

Today I’ve studied a lot of geography for my exam tomorrow and I’ve also done a test TLC for 今日のSubs, which Kristen seemed very pleased about the result, so tomorrow and on Friday I’ll be working on TLC with three more episodes of Zettai kare Children, and after that I’m going to work on the game I previous mentioned that I’m going to work on together with Shiki and Tony… More that that is that I’m going to do Hayate no Gotoku 2 and Phtantom Requiem Phantom for 今日のSubs + ev. another Zettai Karen Children episode so that that project will be completed. That’s today’s news regarding fan subs, I might ask Bubbles20 to put me up for TLC for Wantsfreedom besides editor since we need a TLC there…

Furthermore, my exam in french has been moved to a later date without reason, which I don’t complain over since I can take and use more time for studies in Japanese, and on Saturday I’m going to ask one of my former teachers to give me the e-mail to another former teacher that I know speak Japanese and has a japanese wife, since my japanese tutor still hasn’t replied ot my mail about private lessons…

At last I’m finished with writing my French essay that I need to hand in tomorrow, it took it’s time to write but I think the outcome was quite okay. But I hope my teacher won’t die of boredom since I decided to write about anime and manga (any surprises here?), but I admit I could walk in my brothers footsteps and write a 30 pages+ about Roman water pipes and sewers from 700 BC to 300 AD. But that would be a bit too much for my poor teacher that I don’t adore but I do not believe that she deserves such a harsh fate.

On to the real news, school related stuff is mostly boring and uninteresting…

I’ve continued my talks with Athrine and she’s going to inform Chan about that I will join 今日のSubs. Also I’ve talked with Blick-Winkel aka Shiki that will be what I’ll call him from now on here, and I offered to try and help out with translating a game, so for the moment I’m chatting a bit with Tony that is the guy that brought up the idea to Shiki who informed me about it. So in a few days I’ll be working like crazy with translating, checking and editing anime and games.  Though that’s time I’d be spending on anime anyway, or study some more Private Law for the upcomming exam next thursday… Since this is the first time I’m doing translation (will I have anyone to help me?) it’ll be a good exercise for my Japanese and it might take it’s time with all exams comming up, but I’ll still do my best to complete it fast with a good result. But as to quote Tony: “always put school before the translating”. and that’s what I am planning to do too since otherwise I’d lose valuable points from the grade system so that I’ll get problems entering a college (If I continue to get what I got now I’ll land about 15-17 +2 out of maximum 20+2).

As an extra: I’ve been offered to become GM (Game Master) on a new Knight Online private server that’s in development still by Amir7083, the servername will be ISKO. I gaven’t given an absolute answear but I have to some extent agreed to this position to help them when I got time over.

Recently I’ve been accepted into Wantsfreedom Fansubs as an editor, and I must say that I’m happy that I can help with fan subbing and gain experience that way which I unfortunately lack so far, I will do my best to edit so that we will get the best possible result! よろしくおねがいします。

I’m also talking a bit with 今日のSubs (Why didn’t they name it 今日の字幕?) I might join and help them for a bit as translation checker or quality checker (most likely translation checker), Though since Amon1 offered me this part I’ll be talking more with him when I can get in touch with him, since I talked a bit with Athrine a bit.

Anyway, I’m off to school~

Since I’m a new profile here, I’ve decided to make a small introduction of myself, besides from the profile introduction.

My name is Marcus Klingborg and I’m a 17 year old high school student (I have gone to university for Japanese lessons the last semester, though I won’t go this semester due to that too few applied to the course, therefore I’m trying to get private lessons from my professor in Japanese).  I live in Sweden but plan to move to Japan in about two years if my educational plans go as I want them to…

I got a few interests that includes: anime, music, manga, east Asian culture (mostly Japanese), mythologies and languages.

Further info about languages is that I speak the following:

Swedish, English, French and Japanese.  Swedish and English are completely fluently (will soon receive Oxford diploma that guarantees my skills in the English language) while French and Japanese are almost fluent, or at least good enough for what I need to overcome most situations.

Edit: I will study for some exams in Geography, Private law, French, P.E and Classical music for the next weeks, though that won’t occupy too much of my time…
